Killer Body Count
Mistaken as a sex addict by her dad, Cami is sent off to a remote religious treatment center where the other kids are being hunted by a killer.
My Thoughts
Ridiculous premise, and it works
A sex detox camp full of horny teens and a masked killer? Somehow this insane idea actually entertains. I kept imagining the pitch meeting: “Trust me, it’ll work.” And it sort of does.
Teens are unhinged
Every glance, accidental touch, and dumb decision feels catastrophic. Cami is on edge constantly, and it’s exhausting in the best way.
Comedy sharper than expected
The movie knows exactly how absurd it is. Parents sending teens to a camp to fix their sex lives is brilliantly ridiculous. The humor lands more than the horror.
Horror is tragically weak
Then we get the killer scenes. And wow… they’re awful. No suspense, no tension, just clumsy stab scenes.
Tiny gestures make a difference
The cast clearly had fun making this one. Little looks, pauses, body language – that unscripted energy helped keep scenes alive, even when the story stumbles.
Legend of the camp adds flavor
The priest, the old murders, the masked killer lurking around – it’s there for context, not believability, leaning into the fun absurdity of it all.
Could’ve fully embraced comedy
The concept of policing teen lust is comedy gold. Instead, it awkwardly splits focus between the laughs and weak horror. If it had committed to the ridiculous, it could’ve been hilarious.
Kills lack creativity
Each death feels like a checklist. No sense of dread. The horror exists only to remind you it’s technically a slasher.
Pacing swings wildly
Long stretches of idle camp life, with quick bursts of chaos. It’s exhausting and messy.
The absurdity is addictive
Despite the flaws, the sheer audacity keeps you watching. It’s ridiculous, unpolished, and you can’t stop laughing at how far it goes.
Characters are broad but fun
Most of the teens are horny, stupid, and chaotic. But the exaggerated performances work for the tone. You don’t need any subtlety here.
Dialogue is sometimes hilarious, sometimes cringe
Lines range from laugh-out-loud absurd to painfully stiff, with not much inbetween.
Energy carries weak moments
Even when a scene flops, the cast’s enthusiasm still makes it somewhat watchable. You forgive the bad kills because the actors are clearly enjoying themselves.
The tone is messy but intentional
Horror, comedy, teen chaos – the movie can’t decide what it wants to be, but that messiness is kind of the point.
Mixed but affectionate
By the end, you’re both amused and shaking your head at the same time.
Final Thoughts on Killer Body Count
Killer Body Count is messy and ridiculous, but it’s also strangely fun.
The horror never lands, the kills are a bit clumsy, and the pacing is all over the place. Yet the chaotic teens, absurd premise, and sheer audacity kept me watching.
It’s not a great slasher, but it’s an entertaining, trashy ride that’s easy to enjoy if you lean into the chaos.
Final Score: 6 out of 10
UP: Comedy, chaotic teens, audacious premise, cast energy, absurdity
DOWN: Horror, kills, pacing, uneven tone, weak scares, missed opportunities

And yes, The Godfather 2 is better than The Godfather.
