Debbie Does Demons
Debbie, host of a paranormal TV show, must help rescue friends who summon a powerful, centuries-old witch (Carmilla Karnstein) using a Ouija board, leading to demonic possession and chaos that Debbie, an occult expert, needs to stop before the witch takes over.
My Thoughts on Debbie Does Demons
Flux steals the show
Flux is over-the-top and barely dressed, and at least she is somewhat entertaining.
Story barely exists
Debbie’s late-night show, a seance gone wrong, and a resurrected medieval sorceress is the whole plot – spoiler: Nothing much happens.
Supporting cast struggles
Almost everyone delivers flat, emotionless performances.
Direction is sloppy
Farmer frames poorly, paces unevenly, and throws in filler segments, where scenes drag and feel unconnected to the main story.
Patchwork plot
Original footage intended for a different film is grafted onto a new ouija board storyline, which is clever in theory, but the tone and narrative feel very awkward and disjointed.
Pacing issues
Random TV show segments, political references, and unrelated scenes stretch seventy minutes unnecessarily, and what should be short and punchy drags on.
Costume over story
Carmilla’s outfits draw attention, sometimes more than the plot.
Weak scares
There’s almost no tension or horror, and it’s more absurd than anything.
Sparks of potential
The film hints at what it could’ve been – campy, spooky, chaotic – but lazy writing and uneven execution bury it.
Entertainment value
Despite all its flaws, Flux’s energy and the absurdity of the patchwork plot make it watchable in a trashy way, but only just.
Final Thoughts on Debbie Does Demons
Well, that was bizarre.
As mentioned, it’s somewhat watchable in an incredibly trashy kind of way, and Flux’s outrageous performance is something, but even as someone who enjoys trashy horror, this one tested me.
It certainly is trashy though, so watch for the absurdity and the costume parade, if you must.
Final Score: for trashy dumb fun – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐☆☆☆☆☆
UP: Absurdity, Flux, Costumes
DOWN: Basically everything else.

A lover of cinema for over 35 years, I have watched many films from around the world in many different genres, yet I still normally always come back to trashy slasher horror films when in doubt. More
And yes, The Godfather 2 is better than The Godfather.
